Struck-By Alliance

Struck-By Alliance

AGC Georgia is a proud partner in the Georgia Struck-By Alliance, a collaborative safety initiative led by OSHA and several top organizations across the state. Together, we’re committed to raising awareness about struck-by hazards and promoting best practices that keep workers safe on job sites.

Each year in April, the Alliance organizes statewide Safety Stand Downs, and AGC Georgia encourages all member contractors to conduct safety training focused on preventing struck-by incidents—one of the leading causes of workplace injuries in construction. It’s an opportunity to pause work, share life-saving information, and reinforce a culture of safety within our industry. A comprehensive toolbox of resources was made available online through AGC Georgia to support these efforts and guide meaningful conversations on job sites.

Alliance partners include: OSHA, Georgia Department of Transportation, Georgia Federal Highway Administration, Georgia Highway Contractors Association, Georgia Utility Contractors Association (GUCA), Association of County Commissioners of Georgia, Georgia Tech Research Institute, 3M, AGC Georgia, Lamar Outdoor Advertising, Georgia Power, Construction Ready, Pike Electric, National Safety Council – Georgia Chapter, Ansco & Associates, and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
