Both AGC Georgia members and non-members can take advantage of the many safety training opportunities offered in a classroom setting throughout the year covering both basic and more advanced safety, health and environmental topics. Each of these classes, taught by experienced and qualified instructors, are designed to help make your jobsites safer and ensure the safety and well-being of your workforce.
While the majority of classes are held at AGC Georgia’s training facility in Atlanta, safety courses are offered around the state. When sufficient demand exists within a region for a specific safety topic, AGC Georgia will organize a local class. Also, in response to a member request, we often arrange to have safety training delivered to a company’s office exclusively for their employees. For assistance with private classes, please contact Cindy Parham at 678.298.4112 or parham@agcga.org.
Safety training topics include some of the following:
-
OSHA Subpart CC-Crane Standard
-
Scaffold Safety - Competent Person Training
-
Fall Protection - Competent Person Training
-
Steel Erection - Competent Person Training
-
OSHA 10 and 30 Hour for Construction
-
First Aid/CPR
-
Trenching & Excavation - Competent Person Training

Fall Protection - Competent Person Training
Employers have a duty to provide fall protection when employees are at risk of falling 6 feet or more. At least one Fall Protection Competent Person per trade should be identified on a project if their workers are exposed to fall hazards.
